I have been thinking of reviving this blog as a way to send updates to the adoring masses aka Grandma Barb and Grandma Erin. I am horribly inconsistent, so no promises. But right now it is Friday night, the babies are sleeping, the husband will not be home for 4-6 more hours, I finished my book and I have nothing to watch on tv--so an update! (An aside-- Matt has worked about 70 hours so far this week. If you are wondering why so few, remember that Monday was Labor Day.)

Nora, a poor suffering second child, hardly receives any attention. While Luke had 10,000 pictures taken of him during his first year of life, Nora was lucky to have 2,000. So it only seems right to begin with her.

Luke will tell you that "Nora funny, Luke not funny." He doesn't give himself enough credit, but its true that Nora is very funny. She loves doing silly things just to make Luke laugh, like heading the wrong direction on the stairs. She is strong willed and absolutely does not like to be told "No." If Matt tells her no she will immediately start to cry. If I tell her no she just laughs. We are probably in for a lot of trouble with this one.

At 15 months, she is already very adept with a fork.

But some foods are so delicious she prefers to lose the fork and make it a whole body experience. Such foods are beet hummus.

She is not the most wonderful napper, but she sleeps through the night from 7pm to 7am, so its a good trade off. Part of her napping troubles stem from having to drop off and pick up Luke from school... oh the life of a second child. Despite her younger sister woes, she is the sunshine of our lives and a blessedly easy going baby.

Other items of note:
She went to rhyme time at the library for the first time this week and has started making some neighborhood friends.

She loves having a gummy vitamin first thing in the morning and if I do not offer it to her right away she will go stand in the kitchen and point and shriek until I do.

She is developing quite the girly fashion sense. She likes wearing jewelry, hats, shoes, and carrying a purse.

She misses her Phoenix grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and especially cousin Abigail terribly. She is counting down the days to Thanksgiving!
